Stretching has been proven to be a very effective method of increasing flexibility and posture and is used in lots of fitness programs. It is especially important as more and more of us are working from home which often means we spend longer amounts of time sitting at our desks. It is also important that you have the right furniture and a Next Day delivery desks company like https://www.bestbuy-officechairs.co.uk/office-desk-ranges/next-day-desk-ranges/next-day-system-ergonomic-desks.html can help you out with this.

Back pain is one of the leading causes of muscle fatigue and can result in chronic back pain and mobility issues if left untreated. There are simple stretches to help reduce tension in the muscles and ease soreness which can prevent you from getting sufficient sleep that then has an impact on how productive you are the next day. Muscle pain occurs when you spend too much time in a poor posture, such as slouching at your desk all day. You may feel weak and tired throughout the day if your work requires you to sit at your desk all day without much movement and this is where regular stretching comes in.

Some simple stretches include standing with your feet hip distance apart and placing your hands on your hips and knees. Stretch your upper back until your shoulder blades pull towards your neck and hold for five seconds. Do the same with your lower back and abdominal muscles.
