One factor that many take into account when choosing between brown or white eggs is the myth that the former have a more resistant shell. However, the thickness of the eggshell depends on the characteristics of the hen.

Younger hens lay eggs with thicker eggshells and older hens will give eggs with thinner eggshells. However, this does not influence that someone is more healthy.

Organic or not?

Another factor that is usually taken into account, in addition to whether it is brown or white eggs, is whether to choose normal or organic. It is usually thought that those of organic origin are healthier.

However, it is important to know that this term only indicates that the chickens have been fed organic food, so they are not necessarily more nutritious. In the end, the nutrient inputs are exactly the same.

When choosing which ones to buy, remember that the fact that some types of eggs are more expensive is not related to how healthy they are, but in the type of feeding of the hens. That is, it depends directly on the cost of the food given to the chickens, which is why organic eggs are usually the most expensive.
